Carlin for U.S. Senate

Carlin for U.S. Senate Republican for US Senate in Iowa. I'm an attorney, Army veteran, and public servant who has built my career standing up for people over politics. Swamp.

In the Iowa Legislature, I fought government overreach, defended individual freedoms, and exposed corruption. Jim Carlin is running for U.S. Senate to represent everyday Iowans, not the D.C. Iowans deserve a Senator who will tell them the truth, work to improve their lives and put their interests first. While in the Iowa Legislature, Carlin was instrumental in passing the Heartbeat Bill. He expose

d elder abuse at the Iowa Veterans’ Home and mismanagement of the Veterans Trust Fund. Carlin also introduced legislation to implement active shooter training and infrastructure in all Iowa schools. His proposal for a property tax freeze for seniors later became law. In addition, he also proposed a bill requiring bathroom use in schools to be dictated by s*x rather than “gender identity,” which also later became law. Through Jim’s legislative career, he advocated for Iowans, not special interests. Jim is an attorney and lives in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa with his wife Donna. They have been married for 29 years and have three adult children and three grandchildren. All activity on this account is paid for by Carlin for US Senate

What a journey this past year has been. While we didn’t get the outcome we were hoping for, that didn’t stop us from celebrating the incredible people who made this campaign possible.

I want to take a moment to thank every volunteer, supporter, and friend who stood with me throughout this election cycle. Whether you knocked on doors, made phone calls, hosted events, displayed a yard sign, or offered words of encouragement, you played an important role in this campaign.

I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you. Your dedication to our shared values and your love for Iowa inspire me. Though this chapter has come to an end, the fight for faith, freedom, and conservative principles continues.

Thank you for believing in me and for standing by my side. I will never stop being grateful for your support.

- Jim Carlin

If you’re upset about Trump’s RINO Randy Feenstra endorsement, but not his RINO Ashley Hinson endorsement…you’ve missed something. Both are RINOs, both refused to debate, both “got sugar daddy” endorsements by TRUMP, and BOTH have BIG Donors, out-of-state BIG Donors, and PAC money…very...

Donna and I started our morning at the polls, casting our votes in today’s primary election.

Voting is more than a civic responsibility—it is one of the greatest privileges we have as Americans. It is our opportunity to make our voices heard, stand up for the values we believe in, and put our faith into action.

Every election matters, and every vote has the power to shape the future of our communities, our state, and our nation. If you haven’t voted yet, I encourage you to make a plan and participate in the process.

As your next United States Senator, I will continue fighting to protect your freedoms, defend your constitutional rights, and ensure that your voice is represented in Washington.

God bless Iowa, and God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸

Jim Carlin: Iowans of Faith Deserve the Same Respect as Everyone Else.

Carlin Reaffirms His Commitment to Traditional Marriage and Religious Liberty

Des Moines, Iowa May 25, 2026 - U.S. Senate candidate Jim Carlin today reaffirmed his support for the traditional definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, grounded in his Christian faith and his belief that strong families are the foundation of a strong nation.

"Every person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity, respect, and equal protection under the law," Carlin said. "I have neighbors, friends, and people I care about who see this issue differently than I do. My position is not about disrespecting anyone. It is about whether government should redefine one of humanity's oldest and most fundamental institutions, and on that question, I have a clear and settled view."

"For thousands of years, across cultures and civilizations, marriage has been understood as the union of one man and one woman," Carlin said. "As a Christian, I believe marriage was ordained by God. As a public servant, I believe society has a legitimate interest in protecting and strengthening the family structure that has historically provided the best environment for raising children and sustaining healthy communities."

Carlin noted that until recently, federal law reflected that understanding. The federal Defense of Marriage Act defined marriage for purposes of federal law as the union of one man and one woman. That definition remained federal law until Congress repealed it through the Respect for Marriage Act in 2022.

"I respectfully disagree with that decision," Carlin said. "Marriage is not merely a government-created institution that can be redefined by political majorities. It is a foundational institution that predates government itself."

Carlin is the only consistent conservative in this Senate race who has stood firmly for religious liberty throughout his career - in the Iowa State Senate and in this campaign.

"Many Americans of faith increasingly feel pressured to abandon their beliefs," Carlin said. "Our nation was founded on the principle that people of faith should be free to live according to their sincerely held convictions without government coercion. As your United States Senator, I will never stop defending religious liberty, parental rights, and the freedom of churches, religious organizations, and individuals to uphold their beliefs."

"I will always stand for constitutional freedoms and the values that have guided generations of Iowa families."

For Immediate Release

I’m a Republican. And I’m Calling Out the Corruption in My Own Party.

Jim Carlin, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, charges that the bipartisan establishment has weaponized government to control citizens' lives and futures -- turning American freedom into serfdom.

Hancock County, IA – In a powerful address just before the primary, Jim Carlin, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, called out what he says is the defining crisis of our time: a bipartisan ruling class that systematically used government power to enrich connected insiders while crushing ordinary Americans

Carlin detailed how government policies have left behind hardworking Americans. Federal Reserve policies drove housing prices up 45%. Pharmaceutical giants profited hundreds of billions from mandates while prescription costs soared. Federal interference in healthcare doubled and tripled premiums, resulting in insurance companies effectively practicing medicine. College costs and debt have indentured a generation of young people for decades. Agriculture input costs spiked 60%, while monopolies stifle competition in essentials like housing, healthcare, and farming.

"The government is acting like it owns us," Carlin declared. Establishment politicians from both parties - willfully compliant servants of their puppet masters - have ballooned the national debt to $39 trillion through moral weakness. They facilitate monopolies, print unaccountable money via the Federal Reserve (which has destroyed 95% of the dollar's value since its takeover), and prioritize corporate donors and foreign interests over citizens.

This isn't a left or right issue. It is a global ruling class versus the people issue. Super PACs, endless war and foreign aid amid open borders, and captured regulators prove one truth: both parties sustain a system that enriches the connected while punishing families with impossible costs for survival.

Carlin is calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve, an end to the money corruption running Washington, and a return to free markets where Iowa families - not DC insiders, not global elites - control their own lives.

"We have to clean up the corruption - the American experiment in freedom hangs in the balance,” said Carlin. “The only way you deal with organized crime is to expose it."
