Congratulations to cast and crew of Hadestown:Teen Edition! West High earned numerous accolades from IHSMTA including Outstanding Overall Performance and Outstanding achievement for ensemble. In addition, Cadynse Franklin, Vance Dudley, Isabel Weber, Carter Hammer and Kambry Thacker received Outstanding Achievement in a principal role. Christhel Bracamonte, MIA Weinmeister and Teara Jordan earned special recognition for featured ensemble, and Reygan Mann earned Outstanding Achievement in a Behind-the-Scenes role for directing and choreography!

In addition to the awards and accolades, 6 Students were featured in the IHSMTA Showcase this Thursday at the Des Moines Performing Arts Civics center. Isabel Weber was featured as a spotlight soloist, Kambry Thacker was accepted into the triple Threat program, and Cadynse Franklin, Vance Dudley, Carter Hammer, Isabel Weber, and Reygan Mann were featured in the opening medley. Students spent two weeks learning music and choreo for the showcase. A recording of the entire showcase can be found on the PBS website here:
