105 years later, we still remember what was taken from Black Wall Street.

The Tulsa Race Massacre wasn’t just an attack on a neighborhood. It was an attack on Black success, Black wealth, and a thriving community that built for itself despite every barrier placed in its way.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the stories too often left out of textbooks, and the legacy of Greenwood that still lives on. Never forgotten.

Today was a day we will never forget. A young man who came to us right before his senior year, newly 18, with no home and no support walked across a stage that some thought he’d never reach. (We knew better)

In what was supposed to have been the best year of his adolescence, he battled and OVERCAME homelessness, found stable housing, and completed every requirement to graduate.

Our staff was honored to be invited to witness his moment of triumph.

When you support The Warming Shelter, you support people like this exceptional young man, who refused to be defined by the hand they were dealt and instead chose courage, resilience, and hope.

We are so incredibly proud of you.
Congratulations to a remarkable Class of 2026 graduate.πŸŽ“πŸŽ“πŸŽ“
