Sioux City NAACP The Sioux City Chapter of the NAACP was organized on July 10, 1922 with 115 members. We encourage you to be involved.

Lifetime member Rev Dr Floyd Brown pastored Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 37 years! His legacy lives through the lives of many who experienced the gospel preaching and the dynamic inspirational music of the Consecrated Mass Choir! The Sioux City NAACP & Mt Zion had established a partnership under his leadership which was recently dissolved in 2025. The Sioux City NAACP recognizes the civil rights leadership, support and outreach work while he served as pastor.
