The event is a collaboration between South Dakota News Watch and the League of Women Voters and highlights the separation of powers, checks and balances, civic responsibilities, and ways to identify trustworthy news and information. Dr. KC Carlson is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Anthropology Department at Augustana University. An archaeologist by training, she teaches a wide range of courses in archaeology and cultural anthropology, bringing both field experience and global perspectives into the classroom.
The evening’s presentation will introduce key concepts in archaeology and the Upper Paleolithic rock art in France while highlighting sites visited during the last travel course. For adults ages 18+. Registration required.
