Comprehensive Autism Evaluations for Special Education Eligibility: Determining Level of Need

This exciting NEW training will be held at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. This 1-day in-person training on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, will provide an overview of IDEA-aligned autism eligibility evaluations, emphasizing multidisciplinary assessment, educational decision-making, and individualized support planning. Participants will explore key assessment domains, including communication, social functioning, adaptive skills, sensory and behavioral needs, and cognitive and academic performance, while learning to synthesize findings into clear eligibility determinations and actionable recommendations.

Lunch will be provided during this training.

Certificates of attendance available to all participants for CE or DOE CECH.

ADOS-2 Assessment Training

This exciting event is your chance to enhance your knowledge on the ADOS-2 assessment and ASD team evaluations! Join us for our fall training at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. This 2-day in-person training on Monday, October 26 & Tuesday, October 27, 2026, will provide valuable insights and practical skills for professionals evaluating individuals for autism. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to expand your expertise on the ADOS-2 assessment.

This 2-day training will include comprehensive training on the Autism and Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) with instructional methods including lectures, videos, demonstrations of administration, and scoring. Register now!

Please join us in welcoming our newest team member, Christine Mollenkopf, to the Center for Disabilities!

Christine recently joined our team as a Department Assistant and brings a background in education to her new role. Before joining the Center, she spent four years teaching music in public schools across Texas.

Christine is excited to serve the Center in a variety of capacities and support the many programs, activities, and opportunities we provide to our community.

When she’s not at work, Christine enjoys spending time with her cat, Belle, practicing yoga, and trying new restaurants with her partner.

We’re so happy to have Christine on our team! Help us give her a warm welcome!
