Last week, Avera Foundation Philanthropy Officer Emma Chicoine and Joleen Thompson, Director of Services at the Family Visitation Center, had the honor of attending the 44th Annual South Dakota Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner & Children's Charity Fundraiser.

This incredible event celebrates the brave men and women who keep our communities safe while raising funds for children’s charities.

We’re thrilled to share that the Family Visitation Center received a generous $5,000 donation! 💛 This support helps us continue providing safe, supportive environments for families in need.

Thank you to all who made this event possible—and to our law enforcement heroes for all you do! 🙌

Operation Helpful Smiles program has given to local non-profit organizations in Sioux Falls and surrounding communities for more than 18 years.
Each week, a different area non-profit organization receives a monetary donation from Operation Helpful Smiles. The Sioux Falls Hy-Vee stores match customer contributions collect at check stands up to $1000.00.

Prior to our players heading home for the holidays, some of them helped us distribute all of the teddy bears from Teddy Bear Toss Night. We were happy to stop by our friends at Sioux Falls Jaycees, Sioux Falls CASA, Teddy Bear Den, Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital, Family Visitation Center, Sioux Falls and The Salvation Army USA

The Vishnu Bunny Community shows up year after year to put the “MERRY” in the hearts of everyone at Family Visitation Center, Sioux Falls, during the Christmas Season.👏🎄

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

1. Bring an unwrapped toy valued at $25 or more (please, no toy guns).

2. Get your tattoo for HALF PRICE, up to $200 off! That's right, a killer deal while you spread the holiday cheer. The shop minimum will go as low as $80 for tattoo work.

But that’s not all! We want to make sure piercing enthusiasts can join in on the giving spirit too. This year, we’re offering 50% OFF jewelry, up to $200 off, just like the tattoo offer!
