🎥📺 Congratulations to our CTE students selected for the 2026 Dakota News Now Media Camp! 👏

Beginning June 8, students from across the region will participate in a week-long hands-on experience exploring television news production, reporting, writing, video production, and advertising.

We are proud to recognize:
🎬 Braxton Anderson – Jefferson/CTE
🎬 Jo Goodman – Jefferson/CTE
🎬 Cael Schrandt – Brandon Valley/CTE

Students were selected through an application and audition process that showcased their on-camera skills, coursework, and passion for a future career in television and media.

What an incredible opportunity to learn from industry professionals and produce their very own newscast to air on Dakota News Now! 🌟

🎉 JA Entrepreneur was a huge success this year with Michael and Resa! 👏

Students had the amazing opportunity to learn about leadership, entrepreneurship, and business innovation — and even physically try the exoskeleton from Prosperous Robotics! 🤖💡

What an incredible way to end the year while inspiring students through leadership, creativity, and passion for business and technology.

📈🏆 Congratulations to our CTE students for their outstanding performance in the South Dakota Stock Market Game Spring 2026 Session! 🎉

Competing against 166 teams across the state, our students showed incredible skill, strategy, and teamwork in this 10-week investing competition.

🥇 1st Place Overall & High School Division Winners:

💰 Final Portfolio Value: $174,646.01
📊 71.97% Return on Investment

🎉 Also congratulations to Zach Pope and Hayden Breece for earning an impressive 9th place finish statewide!

The South Dakota Stock Market Game gives students the opportunity to invest a hypothetical $100,000 in real-time stocks, bonds, and mutual funds while learning valuable lessons in economics, business, personal finance, and investing.

A huge shoutout to teacher Penny Brunken for leading this amazing learning experience! 👏
