❄️❄️Even our toughest four-legged deputy isn't impressed with tonight's road conditions and weather. ❄️❄️

Please avoid unnecessary travel. Snowy roads and icy conditions make getting around dangerous for everyone.

Help us wish K9 Croix a happy 6th Birthday! K9 Croix has been with the Burnett County Sheriff's Office since August of 2020.

On August 3, 2025 Burnett County Sheriff's Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to a report of an overdose at a children's playground and dog walking park in Oakland Township. During the course of the investigation deputies obtained information that drugs and drug related paraphernalia were possibly thrown into the wooded area along the trail to the playground.

K9 Croix and Deputy Mangen responded to the scene to assist with an article search. K9 Croix was deployed, conducted an article search, alerted to, and located a discarded pipe and a bag that contained suspected fentanyl inside.

While on scene law enforcement measured the distance from the located items to the playground and the distance was less then 100 feet!

Two adult females were taken into custody and booked into the Burnett County Jail for drug related charges.
