🚨 Seeking the Public's Assistance 🚨

The Burnett County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in identifying an individual who is wanted for questioning in connection with an active theft investigation.

Suspect description:
• White male
• Mid-30s
• Approximately 200 pounds
• Bleached blond hair
• Scruffy beard

The individual was driving an older-model red Dodge extended-cab pickup truck.

***Please note: The male wearing the blue shirt and walking away from the truck in the photograph is not a suspect in this investigation.

If you recognize the individual or the vehicle, please contact the Burnett County Sheriff's Office at 715-349-2127.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our 6th Annual Cops & Bobbers Fishing Event a success! 🎣🚓

Today, kids and law enforcement officers spent the day making memories while fishing on beautiful Webb Lake. Events like this wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our community, volunteers, and sponsors.

A special thank you to:

🎣 Chad Hammer and Chad Knoll of Burnett Land and Tree Services for donating fishing poles.

🪱 Log Cabin Store & Eatery for donating bait and providing fishing tackle.

🦺 Jon Keller for donating life jackets.

🌭 Webb Lake Men's Club and Oak Ridge Inn for providing lunch for all of the kids and chaperones.

🚤 The Webb Lake Men's Club members for generously providing the pontoons that made this day on the water possible.

And thank you to our law enforcement chaperones from the St. Croix Tribal Police Department, Siren Police Department, Wisconsin DNR, and Burnett County Sheriff's Office for sharing your time and helping create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for these kids.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the kids who joined us today. We are already looking forward to next year!

A cellphone has been turned into our office. It has a dark green case. This phone was found near County Rd B and Coyour Rd. If you can provide proof ownership or the passcode that unlocks the phone, you may come to the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office to claim it.

Last night, Burnett County 911 Communications Center was proud to participate in National Night Out with our very first 911 education booth! 🚓🚒🚑

It was a great evening meeting so many children and families while sharing information about the important role of 911 dispatchers. Kids received goodie bags filled with bracelets, glow sticks, candy, bookmarks, and information about who dispatchers are, what we do, and when it's appropriate to call 911.

Visitors also had the opportunity to see a display of what a 911 dispatcher's computer screens look like, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how emergency calls are managed and how help is sent when it's needed most.

Community education is an important part of what we do, and we're grateful for opportunities like National Night Out to connect with the people we serve.

A special thank you to Missi, JR, Jim, Ben, and Jan for helping make our first 911 booth a success! 💙📞
