Searching for individuals interested in serving our community aquatics programs and serving as lifeguards and swim instructors for summer 2026! 🌞
Training for lifeguards (must be 15 years by June 15, 2026) and Water Safety Instructors (WSI, must be 16 years of age at the completion of the course) begins this spring. In the past, our local staff has been trained and enrolled in American Red Cross courses thru NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. Enrollment and registration is participants responsibility, and training is paid for by the participant enrolled. Participants also transport themselves to and from course. The Sisseton Swimming Pool offers compensation for course cost with certification of completion and 4 weeks of employment with SSPA.

NDSCS is planning to have lifeguard and renewal April 24 and 25, 2026. Sometime after school on the 24 and then finish on the 25.

NDSCS will also hold lifeguard and WSI (swim instructors) courses the end of May.
Lifeguard training May 27 and 28, and WSI training evening of May 25 and May 26.

Unfortunately the weather has won today. It is thundering outside as of 240pm, so we best cancel the boat races and frisbee toss for safety reason of being in and around water.

SSPA would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to First Interstate Bank, Rosholt, SD and their employees Sharon Coffman and Casey Christensen for participating in volunteer/community projects day. Today, both of them, along with SSPA board members Tiffany Myrum and Cyrus Hawkins, laid pavers for benches and picnic tables in the grass space east of the pool. This will allow easy mowing and beautify the space. SSPA also would like to thank First Interstate Bank for a grant received to cover expenses for the project. Thank you for your hard work today!!!

Benches were donated by Sisseton FAN club and picnic tables were donated by Venture Communications and Sisseton Community Foundation.

Join us for Sisseton's Homecoming festivities on Friday, September 12.
The parade will start at 1:30pm. SSPA will be handing out Frisbees for the Frisbee Ca$h To$$ to happen at the pool following the parade along with cardboard boat races. Join us for the FUN!!!!

Last evening swim of the 2025 season is tonight--
adult swim 430pm to 630pm, open swim 630pm to 830pm.
We would like to thank everyone for a great summer, our patrons, the 250+ kids who were enrolled in swimming lessons, and our amazing staff!

Hours posted below. Please note 6:30 to 8:30pm open swim is only Monday, Wednesday, and Friday due to home SHS Volleyball matches on Tuesday & Thursday.

Big Thank you to Coteau Valley Federal Credit Union, Sisseton, for their generous donation to the Sisseton Swimming Pool Association. Funds were generated during a promotion through B103 radio, during Sisseton games (softball or baseball), the credit union donated $5 for any run scored.
