 A year ago tonight I packed all my belongings into my Toyota Matrix & began my Van Life for My Lord, He told me I wasn’t talking about Him in a house. That is true. I did my work & it was time to go.
This has been such an amazing year. I met so many great ppl I never would have even approached when I was in that house. God is truly ALIVE & ACTIVE on the streets! Jesus was homeless after all.
Thank You God for knowing where I should be! Thank you for letting me see & be apart of Your Great Plan!!!

SOUTHEAST ALASKA COMMERCIAL SHRIMP POT FISHERY ANNOUNCEMENT

Petersburg... The Alaska Department of Fish and Game today announced the Southeast Alaska commercial pot shrimp summer season.
The following areas will reopen by emergency order at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019:
District 4: will be open. The total Guideline Harvest Level (GHL) is 20,000 pounds, current harvest information is confidential.
District 5: will be open. The total GHL is 12,000 pounds, current harvest information is confidential.
District 15 (west side): will be open west of a line from Little Island Light to the southernmost tip of Seduction Point. The total GHL is 7,500 pounds, current harvest information is confidential.
These areas will close at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday July 31, 2019, unless closed earlier by emergency order [5AAC 31.145]. Areas will close when GHLs have been reached or are expected to be reached by the time of the closure.
Fishermen should refer to the “Southeast Alaska Commercial Pot Shrimp Fishery Announcement” from August 31, 2018 for details on reporting, fish ticket, and logbook requirements as well as other information concerning the 2018/2019 pot shrimp season. The weekly reporting requirement for all catcher-processors and catcher-sellers will begin Monday, May 20, 2019.
Fishermen planning to participate in the summer season beginning May 15, 2019, will need to reregister for the fishery since the 2018/2019 registration year for shrimp ended April 14, 2019. Registration is available at any of the Southeast area offices.

SCHEDULE OF SPRING TROLL OPENINGS:

Sitka area:
Redoubt Bay (113-30) May 10-11th
Sitka Sound (113-41) May 5-7th
Salisbury Sound (113-62) May 8-9th

Sitka . . . The Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced today the following information concerning the commercial spring troll fishery.
The following terminal and special harvest areas (THA/SHA) will open at 12:01 a.m., June 1, and will remain open until further notice:
Port Armstrong SHA (109-11), Hidden Falls THA (112-22), Crawfish Inlet THA (113-33), and Silver Bay THA (113-35).

Wrangell/Prince of Wales area:
Bucareli Bay (103-50) May 7−8 th
Port Saint Nicholas (103-60) May 5-6th

Yakutat area:
Yakutat Bay (183-10) May 6.

PWS ALASKA SALMON NEWS -

COPPER RIVER DISTRICT:
The commercial salmon fishing season will open in the Copper River District for a 12-hour period from 7:00 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Waters within the Chinook salmon inside closure area will be closed during this period.

BERING RIVER DISTRICT:
Commercial salmon fishing in the Bering River District, west of a longitude line at 144° 28.20ʹ W., will open for a 12-hour period from 7:00 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Additional commercial salmon fishing opportunity in the Bering River District will be contingent on accurate/timely Kharvest reporting as well as inseason run strength indicators for Bering River sockeye salmon stocks.

PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND:
Subsistence fishing will be open on Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., between May 15 and October 31 during the commercial fishing season in all PWS salmon fishing districts

Thomas Bay THA

NSRAA is forecasting a total run of 10,000 chum salmon. This year’s return will be the initial return for this project and will be comprised entirely of 3-year old fish. A portion of the run will be harvested in common property fisheries in Chatham Strait and Frederick Sound.
The Thomas Bay THA are those waters of Thomas Bay northeast of a line from Point Vandeput to Wood Point northwest of a line from a point on the mainland shoreline to Ruth Island, north of line from a point on the southeastern shoreline of Ruth Island at west of a line from the mainland shoreline to the southern tip of Spray Island to the northern tip of Spray Island at to the mainland shoreline. Southeast Cove THA
NSRAA is forecasting a total run of 1,776,000 summer chum salmon to the Southeast Cove THA.

The Southeast Cove THA are those waters of Keku Strait enclosed by a line from a rocky point on the northern end of Kuiu Island located on the east side of Southeast Cove . On the east side of Southeast Cove to the northwest corner of Hound Island. Then northwest connecting points along the northern shore of Keku Islands. Then to the northwest corner of Payne Island, then south to a point on Kuiu Island. (To see all the Lat. Long. Lines check the website link below.)

Deep Inlet THA Upcoming Schedule—

Troll:
The troll fishery is open during periods the net fisheries are closed including:
-From June 2 through September 29, the troll fishery will be open from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., Saturday of each week.
Trollers are reminded that all fish retained within the boundaries of the Deep Inlet THA listed below must be reported as being harvested in statistical area 113-38.

Seine:
-From June 2 through August 10, the purse seine fishery will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Thursday, and Friday of each week.
- From August 11 through September 28, the purse seine fishery will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, Thursday, and Friday of each week.

Gillnet:
- From June 2 through August 10, the drift gillnet fishery will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week.
- From August 11 through September 28, the drift gillnet fishery will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week
