🚨🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧🚨

Due to a safety hazard on W 4th Street between N 46th W Ave and N 52nd W Ave, the roadway will be closed to through traffic.

🚧 Detour signs and “Road Closed Ahead” signs are in place to help direct traffic.

The section of W 4th Street between the two duplexes will be closed due to two failing culverts beneath the roadway. This closure should not affect residents’ access to their homes; however, residents and through traffic will need to use the designated detour around the closure.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We are working with city engineers to address the issue and assess the drainage concerns to determine the best solution.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

🎆 Fireworks Update 🎆

Unfortunately, a mortar tube experienced a catastrophic failure during tonight’s fireworks display, causing other fireworks to ignite prematurely and resulting in the show ending early.

We are thankful to report that no one was injured. The Skiatook Police Department apologizes for the shortened display and appreciates everyone’s understanding. Thank you for celebrating with us, and have a safe Independence Day weekend! 🇺🇸
