The National Corvette Museum hosted weekly drives across the Commonwealth this fall and we were lucky enough to be one of their stops this year.

On September 24th, October 1st, 15th and 22nd, approximately 25 Corvettes visited with 50 members so we're making their way to drive the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway.

Members were from across the United States and it was a pleasure meeting everyone and talking with them about our beautiful area.

We can't wait to see them all again next time!

It's almost here...Buckin' In The Gorge, a rodeo in the RRG! There is still time to secure your tickets for this Saturday, October 17th. Located at 11238 Campton Rd. Stanton, KY (At the Red River Gorge Petting Zoo)

Rodeo, live music, western themed vendors, food trucks, a mechanical bull and more.

✨ New Powell County Tourism Brochures ✨

New brochures have arrived and we are so excited to share them with you! We are working on getting them out to all of the local shops and businesses. Stop in and pick one up at the RRG Visitor Center. We're OPEN daily and the fall season is in full swing.

Fall colors in the Red River Gorge have begun. Get in another weekend paddle at Mill Creek Lake Kayak and Paddle Board rentals, take a gorgeous hike at Natural Bridge State Resort Park, or the RRG geological area. Explore a new spot in the outdoors, drive the scenic byway, hire a climbing guide, head to the via feratta, go for an off-road adventure, an underground kayak, a zipline over the trees, visit animals at the petting zoo, or enjoy a little putt putt!

There are so many outdoor adventures and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Come visit and stop in to see us at the RRG Visitor Center. We can't wait for you to explore everything the gorge has to offer.

Did you know that there is a RODEO COMING TO THE RED RIVER GORGE?!

Well, now you do! This is as real as it gets! Not only will there be a rodeo, but live music, western themed vendors, a mechanical bull, food trucks, and more!

Join us at the Red River Gorge Petting Zoo Co. on Saturday, October 17th.

We are ready for fall here at the Red River Gorge Visitor Center at Slade! Come on out and see us for all your maps and area information. We are open 7 days a week!

Powell County Tourism is hosting this month's RRG Chamber of Commerce meeting next Wednesday, October 14th at noon! The spätzle Factory will be on site co-hosting the event and serving up a $10 Chamber lunch special! Other refreshments will be provided as well.

Come on out and hear all about what we've been up to here at Powell County Tourism, get an update from Sarah with The Spatzle Factory, eat some delicious food, and network with local business owners. Event information can be found in the comments.

🪕 Live Bluegrass 🪕

Visiting the Red River Gorge this weekend? miguelsclimbshop Miguels Pizza has free, live bluegrass this evening at 6pm.

Stop in and see us at the Visitor Center when you get into town. You can pick up maps, get area information, ideas of things to do, recommendations and grab a weekly event calendar.

We are thankful for our little group of 5! Together we picked up 33 bags of trash from Nada Tunnel to the bridge at 77.

Don't forget that you can help keep the Red River Gorge clean by picking up trash when you are out on the trail! Pack it in, pack it out!

Stop in and see us at the Visitor Center, show us a pic of the trash you collected, we'll give you a FREE Ale-8-One.

Let's help keep our backyard beautiful!
