Daniel R. Auxier, Sr. was honored as the club Veteran of the Month for June. Daniel served in the US Army, US Army Reserve and the Army National Guard over a 28 year period of time. He spoke of his service in areas throughout the World. Currently, Daniel is the Quartermaster at the Greenville VFW Post #3175.

In May the club honored Bill Raymond as our Veteran of the Month. Bill joined the US Navy and served on the submarine crew. He had many funny stories to share about his time in the service. Bill served on a submarine during the Cold War. Thank you for your service to our country Bill. We all appreciate you.

We continue to support programs for youth throughout our area.

💜 We are grateful for the continued support from the Minisink Valley Kiwanis Club.

Isa, a team member from our Middletown Office, spoke at one of their meetings last month, during which they generously donated additional backpacks for youth in our programs. Since then, the impact has continued to grow. Minisink Elementary is launching a student led drive for essential items, while also sharing information with families about foster parenting.

The group is also exploring ways to support higher cost needs and is participating in our annual Go Purple campaign, both through the Club and within the school community.

So thankful for the generosity and momentum behind this growing partnership ✨

This evening our club honored Veterans Liz and Dave Manning.
Together they served the country for 40 years in the U.S. Navy.
They shared with us why they enlisted, as well as highlights of their career.

Club members recently worked to pick trash up along Route 284 in Minisink. The amount of trash bags filled from a short distance is disturbing.

Minisink Valley Kiwanis members filled back packs with essential items for boys and girls in foster care. The back packs were donated to the organization, 'Together for Youth', which supports youth and families. These items lessen the financial burden on families who foster children.
