Hard work, dedication, perseverance, and a deep family trait of helping someone in the time of need are just a few things that describe the level of service Mathew Curren gives to his full time job as a firefighter, and when he’s home on his days off he also continues to ride our big red truck as a volunteer! We are beyond proud of our brother for his accomplishments. For those that may not know, Mat’s grandfather Albert Wright served our community for many years as a volunteer firefighter and also served as Chief of our department. Mat is a role model that is following very closely in those same footsteps as he is amongst these brave people that graduated from Columbia Fire’s Basic Recruit School class. Well done Captain Curren!

🚨 Taco Tuesday 🚨

We spent a majority of the day today getting everything prepped up to see you Tuesday. All these folks volunteer their time to keep our community safe when the tones drop, and are some pretty darn good cooks as well! We appreciate all the past support, help us make our 10th year the best yet!
We’d like to thank Cargill of their very gracious donation each year to make this event possible for us to put on. All money made from this fundraiser is used to purchase top notch life saving equipment.

We are 1 week away from the best Tuesday of the year!

This is a shout out to all able dessert makers. For the last 10 years we have turned to each of you in helping us with donating desserts to go along with our taco salad. Large or small, 1 or 10 we ll take every dessert anyone would love to give us, Thanks in advance.

The back door of the fire station will be open all day next Tuesday for drop off.
