The final numbers of Summer Reading 2026 have been crunched...

29 kids returned their time trackers - they've been talling their reading hours since school let out back in May.

Altogether, Slayton area kids read 1,534 hours, which translates to 63 days!

The top two readers are Rebekah Tucker and Kaidon Dresson. We'll reach out them directly, but if you know their parents, give them a tound of applause for bringing their families to the library so often.

Congratulations to all the kids who participated! We'll draw the winners for the 3 grand prizes on Tuesday. Stay tuned for more
