FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Murray County Provides Update on CodeRED Data Breach and Temporary Interruption of Emergency Alerts
Murray County, Minnesota — December 1, 2025 — Murray County is notifying residents of a temporary interruption in emergency alert services following a cybersecurity incident involving the OnSolve CodeRED emergency notification platform.
As previously communicated by OnSolve, the CodeRED system experienced a cybersecurity incident that damaged its operating environment, resulting in widespread service disruptions. The vendor has stated that its teams are working around the clock to restore continuity of service and transition customers to the new CodeRED by Crisis24 platform.
Because CodeRED services remain unavailable at this time, Murray County residents will not receive emergency alerts until a replacement system is established.
Murray County has been actively collaborating with local Cities to evaluate alternative vendors capable of providing a secure and dependable emergency alert platform. Identifying a new system is a high priority, and the County is committed to restoring notification capabilities as quickly and safely as possible.
“Murray County places the utmost importance on public safety and effective communication,” said Murray County Emergency Management. “We recognize the critical role emergency alerts play in keeping our residents informed. We are working diligently with our municipal partners to implement a new platform and will share updates as soon as they are available.”
Until a new system is deployed, residents are encouraged to stay informed through official County and City channels. Follow the Murray County Sheriff’s Office page, the various City pages, and the Murray County website for updates. Alerts and updates will be posted in these locations.
