🚧 **Sealcoating Begins Tomorrow – Wednesday, August 19** 🚧

The City of Slayton will begin sealcoating several city streets starting **tomorrow, August 19**. The highlighted streets on the attached map show the areas scheduled for sealcoating.

Please watch for crews and equipment and use caution when traveling through these areas. **Temporary street closures and parking restrictions may be necessary while work is being completed.**

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to maintain and extend the life of our city streets!

🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM YOUR LAWN 🚨

“Please mow me before I become a city project.”

A reminder from the City of Slayton that grass and weeds must be kept under 6 inches in height.

Here’s how it works:
📬 If your grass gets too tall, you’ll receive a notice
⏰ You then have 48 hours to mow it
🚜 If it’s still not done, the City may mow it for you
đź’¸ And unlike your teenager, the City does not work for free

All mowing and administrative costs will be charged to the property owner.

Save yourself the notice, the bill, and the neighborhood side-eye. Be a good neighbor and trim it promptly. đź’™
