Announcement about how we collect dues.
Military Veterans Advocacy® & Blue Water Navy Association™ has recently changed the way we accept payments. If you were previously enrolled in a recurring payment plan to pay your monthly dues or continued donations through Flipcause that has been cancelled so there should not be any further charges through that system. I just had a question asked to me that is very important that we address.
As many of you may know, the Military-Veterans Advocacy Facebook has been hacked. We are working on it. As John wrote yesterday, “We have consulted with the Secret Service cybercrime folks and are preparing to file a “John Doe” lawsuit to allow us to issue a federal subpoena to Facebook.” The hacking has NO EFFECT on our Web Pages. Our Web Pages are where you pay dues, so please don’t worry about paying your dues on our Web Page at https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MTU4NTYz.

As of now it is unclear whether a shutdown would occur, but if it does - this is how it would affect VA's customers. Please forward this e-mail or Bookmark and Share on your channels.

Not Impacted
Veteran health care is not impacted. VA Medical Centers, Outpatient Clinics, and Vet Centers will be open.
VA benefits will continue to be processed and delivered, including compensation, pension, education, and housing benefits.
Burials will continue at VA national cemeteries. Applications for headstones, markers, and burial benefits processing will continue.
The Board of Veterans’ Appeals will continue decisions on Veterans' cases.
VA Contact Centers (1-800-MyVA411) and the Veterans Crisis Line (Dial 988, Press 1) are open 24/7.
Impacted
VA will not provide Veteran career counseling or transition assistance program activities.
The GI Bill Hotline will be closed.
VA benefits regional offices will be closed.
VA will cease public affairs and outreach to Veterans.
VA will not permanently place headstones or maintain the grounds at VA national cemeteries.
VA will not process applications for pre-need burials.
VA will not print new presidential memorial certificates.

Until 11:59 p.m. Sept. 30, 2023, Veterans who deployed to a combat zone, never enrolled in VA health care and left the military between Sept. 11, 2001, and Oct. 1, 2013, are eligible to enroll directly in VA health care through the PACT Act.
