Veterans and retired service members with a 50%+ VA disability rating may also qualify — insurers can offer it voluntarily, so ask your agent!

Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs applauds U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy for introducing the Veteran Su***de Spousal Career Services Act. This bill would give spouses of veterans who died by su***de from a service-connected disability access to career counseling and employment services they currently can't get.

Secretary Meginley said it best: "A steady career and a sense of purpose will not undo the loss, but they can offer these families some semblance of peace moving forward."
