The City of Slidell is launching a new Code Enforcement process designed to be faster, clearer, and more responsive.

What this means for Slidell residents and business owners:
• You may see more violation notices posted throughout the city.
• If a violation is not corrected, a hearing may be scheduled more quickly, and a minimum $250 hearing fee may be assessed to the property owner.

How the process works:
Notice issued → Violation not addressed → Hearing scheduled (notice provided 15 days in advance) → Hearing occurs and judgement issued with fines, penalties, and city correction authorized.

If you receive a notice, please contact us right away. We're here to help you resolve the issue and avoid additional fees or penalties.

📞 985-646-4300
📧 [email protected]

See junk, high grass, or debris? Submit a complaint online:

We'll keep you informed as the new process is implemented.

Early voting for the June 27 election resumes today and continues through Saturday, June 20 (closed on Friday, June 19). Slidell residents can vote at the Towers Building, located at 520 Old Spanish Trail.

On the ballot are elections for:
• U.S. Senate
• Public Service Commissioner
• BESE Member
• Millage renewals, including two for City of Slidell residents

The City of Slidell’s two millage renewals help fund water, sewer, and residential garbage collection services for citizens living within the city limits. These are not new taxes, they are renewals of existing millages that help supplement utility billing, keeping rates affordable while supporting essential services. The millages are being rolled back from 5 mills each to 4.45 and 4.37.
