CHIEF ARENDT GRADUATES FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY

Please join us in congratulating Chief Arendt on graduating from the 297th session of the FBI National Academy! Graduation took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, on March 18th, 2026. Nationally, fewer than one percent of officers have the opportunity to attend this program.

The FBI National Academy offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend.

The 297th session consisted of two hundred and fifty-three law enforcement officers, from 48 states and the District of Columbia. The class also included members of law enforcement agencies from 24 countries, four military organizations, and four federal civilian organizations.

We are very proud of Chief Arendt on this accomplishment, and look forward to his safe return to our community and having him back in office.

WELCOME OFFICER OPITZ!

At last night's Village Board meeting, Slinger PD welcomed Brittney Opitz to our team as our newest patrol officer. Brittney comes to us with some previous law enforcement experience, and was a Slinger graduate herself.

We are very excited to have her join the department, and hope our community might help to extend her a warm welcome!

Congratulations, Chief Arendt, on your outstanding performance!

For the last several weeks, Chief has been attending the FBI National Academy - a prestigious, 10-Week intense training program designed for law enforcement managers to develop leadership, fitness, and specialized skills - that will no doubt help to better serve our community upon his return.

We look forward to seeing him back at the end of the month!
