π YOUR COMMUNITY. YOUR CHANCE TO SERVE.
You do not need experience.
You do not need to come from a fire service family.
You just need to be willing to show up and learn.
The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team is looking for new members who want to serve their community, learn new skills, meet some pretty great people, and become part of something bigger than themselves.
Whether you're a lifelong Slippery Rock resident, new to the area, or an SRU student looking for a place to belong while you are here, there's a place for you at Station 33.
We provide training and opportunities to learn. No previous fire service experience required. Members also have access to benefits including fire service training, our station gym and Wi-Fi, and opportunities to gain real-world experience that goes a whole lot further than another line on a resume.
π₯ You don't have to be a firefighter to walk through the door.
You walk through the door to learn how to become one.
Not interested in firefighting? We still want you! π
There are plenty of ways to serve your community without ever putting on turnout gear. Our social members are an important part of our department, helping with fundraisers, community events, and the many things that keep Station 33 going behind the scenes. You don't have to fight fires to make a difference here.
Interested? Stop by the station, or reach out to one of our members. We would be happy to show you around and answer your questions.
Your community needs volunteers. Maybe it's your turn to answer the call. π
