The CDBG funds are what we are able to use on projects like this. It’s unfortunate that the federal administration has again placed it on the cutting block once again.

I would love to see the program expanded and coordinated with our County Municipal Infrastructure Bank.

The fact that many municipalities won’t raise necessary taxes to cover their infrastructure, this is federal funds to keep residents safe.

So be cautious of any elected official bastardizing tax collection, says they will never agree to an increase or will run on getting rid of taxes.

They are simply unable to explain to their constituents the necessity of cobbling local funds to ensure safety, quality of life, economic stability, and to address shared needs.

This is a common sense process that allows the intent of the voter to be secured in vote.

So now a handwritten date is not required (truly meaningless) and a post mark date can be honored as date mailed and count.

This is how the system can ensure every vote counts.

I see both parties are supporting and encouraging mail in ballots. The shift and adjustment takes time. While act 77 (any act) leaves room for interpretation, but the best practice is to address issues via legislative revisions or a final court decision.

Thoughts?
