Slocomb Fire-Rescue’s 2026 Annual Memorial Day Boot Drive Fundraiser kicks off tomorrow morning!
This is the ONLY yearly fundraiser conducted by Slocomb Fire-Rescue, and every donation goes directly back into supporting the equipment, training, and emergency services we provide to our community 24/7.

📍 Location: Intersection of South State Highway 103 & Highway 52 at Friend Bank

During EMS Week 2026, we would like to recognize the dedicated men and women of Slocomb Fire-Rescue who answer the call day and night to care for our community.

Emergency medical services is more than lights and sirens. It is compassion during someone’s worst moment, comfort when families are scared, and professionalism when seconds matter most. Our EMS providers are committed to treating every patient with dignity, respect, and care just like they are family.

In a small, close-knit community like ours, many times they are family, friends, neighbors, classmates, or people we have known our entire lives. That makes the care we provide even more personal and meaningful.

Whether responding to a medical emergency, providing lifesaving treatment, or simply offering reassurance and support, our crews are honored to serve the citizens of Slocomb and the surrounding communities.

Thank you to all EMS professionals for your sacrifice, dedication, and compassionate service during EMS Week and every day of the year.

SFR would like to congratulate Firefighter Will Green on graduating Firefighter I/II recruit school that was hosted by the Dothan Fire Department. We would also like to congratulate one of our long time members Firefighter Brendon Herrington who was hired by the City of Ozark and also graduated! Both completed 11 weeks of rigorous training, receiving certifications from the Alabama Fire College for Firefighter I/II, Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations, and Rapid Intervention Crew. Firefighter Herrington also received the Victoria A. Bristow EMS award.

This fundraiser is the ONLY yearly fundraiser conducted by Slocomb Fire-Rescue, and every donation made during these two days goes directly back into supporting the services, equipment, training, and emergency response efforts we provide to our community each and every day.

Our firefighters and EMS personnel proudly serve the citizens of Slocomb and the surrounding area 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. From emergency medical calls and fires to rescues and community assistance, we stand ready when you need us most and this fundraiser helps us continue that mission.
