Over the last 36 hours, 13 members of Slocomb Fire-Rescue (SFR), alongside our response partners, have responded to and handled more than 70 calls for service related to Hurricane Isaias.

During this response, members of Slocomb Fire-Rescue, Fadette Fire Protection District, and Malvern Volunteer Fire Department worked together for 12 consecutive hours to clear debris and make our main roadways passable for the traveling public and emergency vehicles.

These efforts demonstrate the dedication, teamwork, and commitment of our local emergency responders. When severe weather impacts our communities, our departments come together, work side by side, and do whatever it takes to keep our residents safe and our roadways accessible.

We are incredibly proud of our members and grateful for our mutual-aid partners who continue to answer the call, often working long hours in challenging and hazardous conditions.

To our members, Fadette VFD, Malvern VFD, and all our response partners — thank you for your hard work, dedication, and service to our communities.
