The annual May Fire School weekend was held with 2 classes in session: Incident Safty Officer and Topic 42 - 8 Hour Live Burn.
It was the first class held in the renovated Burn Tower.

ISO - Incident Safety Officer class will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 16th and 17th starting at 0800 hrs.

An 8 hr BC3 Burn class will be held Saturday only at 0800 hrs. Cost $55.
Using the renovated Burn Building; same prerequisites as SBS class.

The DCNR 130/190 class concluded with field exercises as well.

Essentials Fire Ground Support class finished over the weekend and the Exterior cCass will begin April 11th and 12th.

HMOR was also held and the DCNR 130 / 190 will continue April 11th and 12th

Reminder to get applications in ASAP for the classes being held May 16th and 17th.

Incident Safety officer, Fire Ground Emergency Rehab and 16hr Structure Burn will be using the renovated burn tower at the fire school.

March 28th the HMOR class will be held at Tri-County Fire School. Still accepting applications.

The DCNR 130/190 will be held at TCFS on March 28 & 29th and April 11 & 12th. Still accepting applications.

Due to the shortage of qualified instructors to teach the new Passenger Vehicle Rescue Program, Tri-County Fire School is forced to cancel the Vehicle Rescue Classes for April, May, and September 2026. We are currently working to schedule instructors for 2027.

There is room in all of the other classes on the 2026 schedule. There is still time to register for HMOR on March 28th and DCNR March 28th-29th and April 11 & 12.

Essentials of Firefighting begins Saturday, February 21st at 0800 at the fire school on Forest Ave.

Late applications are being accepted for HMA and Fire Extinguishers for March 1st.

HMA certification test is March 1st.
