Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation

Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation The official page for Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation. Welcome to the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation. We are located in Northern California amongst the Giant Redwoods.

With the redwoods to the east and the mighty Pacific Ocean to our west, we live in some of the most beautiful lands that the Great Northwest has to offer. With almost thirty miles of coastline to call home, we have lived for thousands of years off of the lands, rivers, and sea. VIEWS EXPRESSED DISCLAIMER:

We are excited to offer eligible youth the opportunity to earn a School Clothing Incentive to help prepare for the upcoming school year. To qualify for the incentive, all of the following requirements must be met:

1. Complete and submit the 2026 Annual TANF Prevention Activity Application
2. Participate in and complete and approved summer activity or program
3. Submit a written reflection consisting of at least two paragraphs that includes:
a. What they learned during their participation in the activity or program and how the experience relates to making healthy choices, culture, etc.
b. What they enjoyed most about the activity.

If the youth participate in a CFW hosted program such as the upcoming Back-to-School Event or our summer prevention activity, the written reflection will not be required. For all other activities, the reflection should demonstrate thoughtful participation and be written in the youth's own words. We encourage youth to share specific examples of skills they gained, cultural knowledge they learned, friendships they developed, challenges they overcame, or ways the activity helped them grow.

All required documentation, including the 2026 Annual TANF Prevention Activity Application and youth reflection, must be submitted no later than August 3, 2026. Submissions received after this date may not be eligible for consideration.

Please review the flyer for additional information and use the attached template to assist with completing the written reflection.

Once all requirements have been completed and verified, eligible youth and families will be notified regarding incentive distribution details. Please note that school clothing incentives are subject to funding availability, program eligibility requirements, and verification of participation. Completion of program requirements does not guarantee incentive eligibility until all documentation has been reviewed and approved.
