Positive energy abounds at this beautiful spot along the northern California coast. The 740-square-foot cabin was built in 1940 and remodeled in the 1990s. Luxuriate in a deep tub in the wood-paneled bathroom, which also has the usual cabinetry, toilet, and shower stall. Make a cup of coffee or cocoa in the attractive kitchen and picture yourself sitting on the covered front porch, with a view of

the surf rolling in, less than a quarter of a mile away. Or from inside, you can look up from your computer (DSL cable installed) and gaze out the picture window at the same gorgeous scene. Dogs can romp on two fenced acres, or be more securely confined in a small turnout area with weather shelter just outside the cabin side door. An asphalt driveway leads to a large level parking area. Visitors with a camp trailer can connect to water, sewage, and electrical hookups on the pad. Other amenities include a two-car (dirt floored) garage), a greenhouse, raised bed gardens, and an area where two horses once were stabled.

We saw the elk as they wandered through the front yard today. So awesome! Several small groups of 4-6. In each group, at least one elk stood and gave me the stink eye while the group turned and disappeared into the forest.
