The Fayette County Commission is accepting applications for financial assistance for Fayette County residents affected by the August 2026 floods.

𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Please note that the Commission is only accepting applications at this time. After applications are received, the Commission will determine at a public meeting whether assistance will be provided and, if so, how much each eligible applicant may receive. Decisions will be based on demonstrated need and available County funds.

There is no guarantee that an applicant will receive assistance or, if assistance is approved, how much they will receive.

"Abigail Adams" History Alive! Dinner Theater at Smithers GATEWAY Center.
A conversation with the first First Lady to have resided in the White House. Light summery buffet included. Event on September 15, 2026, starts with 6:15 pm flag-raising by Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy - South outside, then 6:30 pm inside patriotic dinner music by Mt. Hope Regional Band and the delightful and interesting Adams' talk in period costuming. You can even ask her questions in character at the end. Facinating for adults, teens and younger students. Marking the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Our event is on TUESDAY, September 15, at 6:15 pm. No tickets sold at the door. The West Virginia Community Development Hub (The Hub) is seeking a media partner for 2027, with an option to extend, to help strengthen our storytelling and build toward our 20th Anniversary in 2028.

Services may include: social media and short-form video, graphic design, video production, photography, website updates, annual Impact Report design, and brand strategy.
