Smithers Volunteer Fire Department

The Smithers Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the citizens of our area since the 1940s. SFD is apart of both Fayette and Kanawaha counties, which gives us a larger response area. Our focus it to protect and care for our citizens in their time of need. From fighting a structural fire, a water rescue or removing a tree obstructing traffic, SFD responds to a variety of calls and is always here for our citizens. Stop by Station 6 on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM to apply for membership, and be apart of the Brotherhood of the Fire Service.
