Our teens lit up the library at last night's Glow Party! The event included black lights, glow accessories, snacks, journal decorating, balloons, stickers, games like Twister and Jenga, and plenty of neon. Teens also got creative with face painting and enjoyed plenty of time to hang out, play, create, and glow!

And this program was extra special because it was planned, organized, and facilitated entirely by our Teen Advisory Board! This was their first big program, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. A huge shout out to our TAB for making Glow Party such a success! We can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Reminder: The library will be closed September 5 & 7 in observance of Labor Day. We’ll welcome everyone back to the library on Tuesday, September 8.

The library will be closed from Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. We will welcome everyone back on Tuesday, September 8 for our regular hours.

Our outdoor materials return bins will be open but feel free to hold on to your materials a little longer as we do not charge overdue fines and offer auto-renewals. As always, our smart lockers will remain accessible during the holiday for pickup of held materials.

While our doors are closed, our digital library is always open! Browse e-books and e-audiobooks in the Libby app and NC LIVE by using your library card and PIN. Visit our website for more: pljcs.org.

It's glow time! Teens are invited to join us for a back-to-school bash presented by the Teen Advisory Board. "Glow Party" will consist of games, snacks, and crafts that glow!

Fall has arrived at the library with our Autumn I-Spy Display! Our first participant did an awesome job spotting all of the items on the list. 🔍🍂🌻

It may be toasty outside, but fall was in the air today at storytime! We read, “The Leaves on the Trees,” by Thom Wiley and Andrew Day, learned the signs for the colors green, gold, red, yellow, and orange, talked about foods that begin with the letter “e,” and sang about pancake batter and icky sticky bubblegum.
