Transgender History Month is the perfect time to celebrate a piece of North Carolina history that deserves a little more attention.

North Carolina is home to the only standalone Transgender Caucus within a state Democratic Party; a powerful reminder that trans voices belong at every table where decisions are made.

The Trans Caucus of the NCDP is working to organize, advocate, and ensure transgender North Carolinians are seen, heard, and represented. At a time when trans people too often make headlines because of attacks on their rights, they’re making headlines for something far more important: leadership.

Give them a follow (Action Through Advocacy ). Share their work. Show up for their events. Speak up when misinformation spreads. Small acts of solidarity add up, and they matter.
Because equality isn’t a fight for one community, it’s a fight for all of us. We’re stronger when we stand together.
