Today, our Fire Marshal and Emergency Management teams visited Four Oaks Elementary School to showcase our drone program to more than 600 students on their last day of school.

Students got an up-close look at how drones are used in public safety, from search and rescue operations to damage assessments and emergency response support.

Thank you to Four Oaks Elementary for inviting us to be part of such a fun day. We hope everyone has a safe summer break! β˜€οΈ

During EMS Week and on Save A Life Day, we were reminded of why this work matters. πŸ’™

Some of our Johnston County EMS crew had the opportunity to meet a former patient they helped resuscitate after he suffered cardiac arrest. After making his recovery, he wanted to come by and personally meet the crew who helped save his life.

To our EMS crews: thank you for the lifesaving work you do every day.

To our community: learn CPR, know the signs of cardiac arrest, and don’t hesitate to call 911. You could help save a life.

Morgan had questions about hurricanes. πŸŒ€
Nick had questions about middle schoolers. 🧐

Together, they covered everything from watches and warnings to emergency kits, storm myths, favorite apps, and whether students are using ChatGPT.

For Hurricane Preparedness Week, our Rising Responders Academy alum teamed up with Nick from the National Weather Service Raleigh for a fun conversation about being prepared, staying informed, and learning from each other.
