Smithfield High School's Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Live Church, 1021 Big Bethal Rd. Hampton, VA 23666

Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow sufficient time for parking and seating. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. No entry will be allowed after 2:00 pm.

Please enter Doors A, B, C, or D with your ticket in hand.

Items Not Permitted Inside the Graduation Ceremony:
❌ Balloons
❌ Air horns or noisemakers
❌ No signs, banners, or posters
❌ Umbrellas
❌ Weapons of any kind
❌ To***co products, vapes, or e-cigarettes
❌ Outside food or beverages
❌ Confetti, glitter, or similar celebratory items

To ensure all guests can enjoy the ceremony and have an unobstructed view of the graduates, please adhere to these guidelines.

Additional Graduation Tickets: If you are in need of one (1) or two (2) additional graduation tickets, please be at Smithfield High School on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Any available extra tickets will be distributed at that time on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited, and additional tickets are not guaranteed.

🎓✨ Tomorrow, the tassels turn.

As we prepare to celebrate the commencement ceremonies for Smithfield High School and Windsor High School, we pause to recognize the incredible accomplishments of the Isle of Wight County Schools Class of 2026.

This remarkable class has earned college acceptances across the country, completed advanced coursework and dual enrollment classes, secured industry certifications, signed employment contracts with local businesses, committed to military service, and pursued countless pathways toward bright futures.

🎓✨ Graduation Day is almost here!

Tomorrow, we will celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2026 as the graduates of Smithfield High School and Windsor High School take the stage and begin their next chapter.

For family members and friends who are unable to attend in person, both ceremonies will be streamed live by Liberty Live.

📢 Please note: The livestream links will be shared tomorrow approximately one hour before each ceremony on the Isle of Wight County Schools Facebook and Instagram pages.

Tuesday, June 9 – Mandatory Graduation Practice (Liberty Live Church)

🎓 Seniors must report to SHS by 8:00 a.m.
🎓 Students will be transported by school bus to Liberty Live Church.
🎓 Practice: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
🎓 Students may not drive personal vehicles.
🎓 Eat breakfast before arriving; food purchases will not be available.
🎓 Attendance is mandatory. Students who do not attend all required practices may not participate in graduation.

Wednesday, June 10 – Graduation Practice & Ticket Distribution (SHS Auditorium)

🎓 Practice: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
🎓 Graduation tickets will be distributed after practice.
🎓 Only seniors who have paid all dues and cleared all financial obligations will receive tickets.
🎓 Seniors must attend practice to receive graduation tickets and participate in the ceremony.
🎓 Extra tickets must be obtained from fellow graduates.
🎓 Jostens will be available after practice for last-minute purchases:
✅ Cap ($5)
✅ Tassel ($10)
✅ Stole ($15)
✅ Complete Cap & Gown Package ($70)
✅ Cash only

Wednesday, June 10 – Senior Picnic

🎓 Time: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
🎓 Food, music, games, obstacle courses, and giveaways.
🎓 Students may bring lawn chairs, towels, and sunscreen.
🎓 School dress code remains in effect.
🎓 All senior dues and financial obligations should be resolved by this date.

Friday, June 12 – Graduation Day

🎓 Seniors must report to the SHS Cafeteria by 10:45 a.m.
🎓 Buses depart for Liberty Live Church at 11:15 a.m.
🎓 Graduation begins promptly at 2:00 p.m.
🎓 Doors open for guests at 1:00 p.m.
🎓 Every guest, including infants, must have a ticket for entry.
🎓 Graduates should ensure guests have their tickets before arriving.
🎓 Diplomas will be distributed following the ceremony.

Laptops, library books and textbooks will be due back to the library on the dates listed below. Students will return items during their English or history classes. Students not taking English or history this semester should return all items by 4th block on their assigned day.

EXCEPTIONS: Students taking SOL tests and DE exams after their assigned collection day should return their laptop to the library as soon as those tests are done. Any seniors taking exams on June 4-5 will return their laptops no later than June 5.

Students who are unable to return their laptops on their assigned day should make arrangements with the library to turn in their device on an earlier day.
