💙💛Aston Williams Named Principal of Smithfield High School💛💙

IWCS is proud to announce that Mr. Aston Williams has been named Principal of Smithfield High School. The School Board approved his appointment at its May 14 meeting.

Mr. Williams has served as Acting Principal of SHS since September and has been part of the Packer family as an Assistant Principal since 2022. His steady leadership, commitment to students, and strong connection to the school community make this a wonderful moment for SHS.

Congratulations, Mr. Williams! We are excited to see Smithfield High continue to build on its proud legacy under your leadership. 🎉

SHS Chorus is on a roll with a concert TONIGHT and several amazing, fun experiences over the last few weeks:

🎼 Please come and support our talented singing Packers in our Spring Choral Concert with the SMS choral ensembles. You won’t want to miss this outstanding concert!

When? Friday, May 15th at 6pm
Where? SHS Auditorium

🎼 The songs performed tonight were ones that earned SHS Chorus the top awards in all choral ensembles at the Music in the Parks competition on May 8th at Busch Gardens.

🎼 Members of the SHS Chorus also enjoyed a trip to Chrysler Hall in Norfolk to see the incredible touring Broadway performance of The Lion King on April 30th, and it was a fantastic day to be a part of the Chorus family!
