The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the Coyle family and the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office during this difficult time.

Deputy Rick Coyle was a wonderful man whose service, compassion, and love for his community were evident through the life he lived each and every day. His dedication to helping others and serving with honor left an impact that will not be forgotten.

We ask everyone to keep his family, friends, and fellow deputies in your prayers in the days ahead.

Rest easy, Deputy Coyle. Your service and sacrifice will always be remembered.

A hospital’s impact reaches far beyond its walls—and recent data prepared by the Kentucky Hospital Association helps tell that story more clearly than ever.

Thanks to updated Economic Importance reporting, we’re seeing a fuller picture of how Livingston Hospital supports not only the health of our community, but its overall vitality. From the care provided each day to the jobs created and the dollars reinvested locally, the ripple effect is significant.

These insights reflect everything from patient care and services to employment, wages, and ongoing investments—showing just how deeply connected a local hospital is to the strength and stability of the region it serves.

For Livingston Hospital, that commitment is only growing stronger! This Thursday, we’re preparing to break ground on a brand new facility—an investment that represents progress, expanded access to care, and a vision for the future. It’s about meeting the needs of today while building for tomorrow.

When a hospital grows, the community grows with it. We’re proud to continue serving our community—and excited for what lies ahead!

Good morning Smithland! Starting this month, the water district will be making an effort to get bills delivered to you faster so that mail in payments are received prior to the due date and we can avoid those late fees! We are also making shut off day the same for each month so it’s much easier to keep track of instead of the date changing every month. With that being said, shut offs will be at 8:30am on the 27th of each month moving forward. Any payments not received by or arrangements not made prior to then will be shut off and the charges for disconnect and reconnect will be added.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at (270) 928-2446.
