Gardening Season is upon us! If you are interested in learning some more about preserving food from your garden, we will be having some U of I Extension Canning/Freezing Watch Party Events at the Library!
Here are the dates and times -- no registration is necessary:

Thursday, May 21st at 6 pm: Canning at home introduction
Friday, May 22nd at 4:30 pm: Canning with Confidence: Boiling
Water Bath Canners
Thursday, May 28th at 6 pm: Freezing Foods

All of these events are free and open to the public. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 618-233-8057. Happy Gardening!

The USPS Annual Food Drive is this Saturday, May 9th. They especially need canned fruit and paper goods.

The food pantry is in need! Please donate if you are able. Our pantry is in need of canned fruit and paper products as well as other non-perishable food items. Just place your items out by your mailbox on Saturday morning for your postal worker to collect . We appreciate your support! God bless!
