Smithton Public Library The Smithton Public Library serves the town of Smithton and the surrounding area. It is one of 24 libraries in the Westmoreland County Libraries (WCL) network.

Smithton Public Library has joined with 23 other libraries in Westmoreland County to create the Westmoreland Library Network (WLN). Being a WLN member that library card holders have access to materials from participating libraries through one online catalog. You can search for particular items, place requests, and have requested items sent to a library of your choosing. Smithton Public Library is a branch of the Rostraver Public Library. See our website at www.rostraverlibrary.org. The library is open 20 hours per week as noted in our Hours of Operation. In addition to both adult and children's books and DVDs, we have public access computers with the ability to print and a photocopier.

SAVE THE DATE! November's Family Night is going to be exceptionally fun! Paula Purnell from the Westmoreland Land Trust is bringing her guitar for a Corn Shuckin' Party and wants YOU to bring a "junk" instrument from home! Your instrument could be a pan and a wooden spoon, two metal spoons, a tin pie pan and anything to hit it with, an empty paper towel roll (for a fun kazoo!).....Use your imagination! November 13! 😎
