Emergency Water Repair Notice

The City would like to inform residents and motorist that on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., NE 9th Street from Short Street to Garwood Street will be closed due to emergency water repairs. The entrance to Mills Street from NE 9th Street will also be closed during this time.

Residents and motorists should expect to see large water pumps operating in the area, with significant amounts of water being pumped down NE 9th Street throughout the repair process. This is a normal part of the repair work and is necessary for crews to safely and efficiently complete the job. The City asks the public not to be alarmed.

Following the repair, some residents may experience temporary brown or discolored water. If this occurs, please flush your household pipes by allowing cold water to run for several minutes until the water clears.
Please refer to the map as a reference for the location of the emergency water repair. The city appreciates your patience and cooperation during these emergency repairs.
