The Burn ban has been lifted and this allows you to burn. Reminder to contact Bastrop County Sheriff and Smithville Police Department to let them know you plan to conduct a legal control burn. Reminder you must be present for the entire burn with plans for it to be complete by dark. The goal is to burn safely so please have access to water or tractor to keep the fire from spreading accidentally.

Thanks Smithville Volunteer Fire Department
