********SCAM ALERT*******

The Circuit Court Clerk’s office has been receiving information today that scammers are calling people saying they are from the Sheriff’s Department/Police Department and have a warrant out for them for missing jury duty. This is a scam. Do not give or send them any money. If anyone ever tells you over the phone to pay court fines or fees with any Cash Apps or prepaid cards, such as Apple Cards, blue dot cards, etc., that is a scam. If you are ever unsure about this information, you may contact our office directly.

All DeKalb County services and offices are closed tomorrow due to inclement weather. This includes the courthouse, community complex, elected official offices, transfer station, and convenience sites.
The Circuit Criminal Court scheduled for Tuesday, January 27th, has also been canceled. If you were on that docket your next court date will be February 17th.
