Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center The SOAC is a division of Smyrna Parks and Recreation. To Have a Successful Visit - Please wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing to climb in.

As part of the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department, the SOAC Team specializes in developing and presenting a variety of environmental, educational, recreational, and outreach opportunities for all ages. The Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center (SOAC) is an indoor facility that hosts a variety of activities: hands-on exhibits, local artwork, inquiry-based programming, 30 foot climbing walls, cargo-ne

t climbing structure, and 2 party rental rooms. Scheduled Climb Times - To ensure our guests’ safety during each visit, the SOAC will be implementing scheduled Climb Times in our Adventure Zone rooms. These will be 40 minute times starting at 10:20AM with 20 minute cleaning intervals between each Climb Time. All visitors, including members, will be asked to sign up for one of these Climb Times during their visit. Guests are also welcome to call ahead, the day of, and reserve one scheduled climb time per person at (615) 459-9710. All guests will need to sign a waiver. Online: www.smyrnaoutdooradventurecenter.org. SplashTown at the SOAC is the outdoor pool facility that is directly managed under the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department. As a part of the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department, the SOAC programmers specialize in developing and presenting a variety of environmental educational, recreational and outreach programs for all ages. Come inside and visit the Discovery Den to see what activity is going on today! SOAC programs are geared towards bringing people inside to enjoy the activities, yet also getting them outside to experience any of the 10 parks within the Smyrna Parks system.

SOAC admission includes the featured exhibit and time in the Climbing Rooms.
SOAC admission is $7.00 per adult (13-54 yrs), $4.00 (55+ yrs), and $5.00 per child (2-12yrs); children younger than 2 are free.

HOURS OF OPERATION: The SOAC is open Tuesday - Saturday (10 AM - 6 PM) and Sunday (1 PM - 6 PM).

🧗‍♀️ TWO WEEKS AWAY! SOAC Climbing Club will resume on Tuesday, August 11 from 4 PM - 6 PM. Learn introductory terms and moves that will help you get to the top of the rock wall and ring the bell! Throughout the fall semester, participants will play games and earn stickers on a BINGO Board to redeem for prizes. This program is great for ages 8 years and older. Participants must wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate climbing clothing. Cost: $2/person.

Bring your family, friends, something to sit on, and dress for the outdoors. Starting at 7:30 PM, we will have free Yard Games and Food Vendors (for purchase): The Hot Dog Guy and Mr. Kool's Kool Treats! Walk-Ups Welcome!

🚛⛵️✈️ Plan to visit the SOAC to experience the summer exhibit, From Here to There! Explore the science of how things move by land, sea and air on display through August 30, 2026.

The From Here to There exhibit and a 40-minute climb time is included with SOAC admission. The SOAC is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. SOAC admission is $7.00 per adult (13-54 yrs), $4.00 (55+ yrs) and $5.00 per child (2-12yrs); children younger than 2 are free.
