Last Thursday, our CEO Kyle Huhtanen joined Adam Brock and Russell Smith at HouseATL’s Q3 Member Convening to discuss Cobb County’s housing crisis. With average home sale prices in Cobb reaching approximately $550,000–$590,000 in mid-2026, the need for more affordable housing is clear.

Chairwoman Lisa Natasha Cupid kicked off the conversation by addressing restrictive regulations and the goal to produce 37,500 new housing units in Cobb County by 2035.

The panel explored ways to increase housing production for people of all ages and incomes, opening the door to talk about the opportunities we are actively pursuing with city and county leadership, including the existing partnership with Brock Built | Home Builders to add affordable housing to mixed-income neighborhoods.

These conversations are critical as we continue our mission to build homes, communities, and hope. Thank you to HouseATL for bringing leaders together to advance equitable housing solutions across metro Atlanta.

Luis and Marisol recently closed on their new home, and we’re excited to see them settling into this new chapter. 💙🏡

One of the first pieces of furniture in their new home was a handcrafted dining table from Your Family’s Table, founded by Georgia retiree Tom Schutle, who has spent eight years volunteering with Habitat families on build sites.

Today, he continues giving back by creating tables that bring families together. Each table includes seating and a basket at its center, encouraging loved ones to set aside distractions like phones and focus on conversation, connection, and making memories. 🍽️

Thank you to Your Family’s Table for helping turn a house into a home and giving Luis and Marisol a place where new traditions can begin.

Thank you to Atlanta Braves Foundation and The NAPA Network for partnering with us last Friday on our Community Curb Appeal project in the Hillcrest West neighborhood! 🏡⚾🌱

As both sponsors and volunteers, your support made a lasting impact. Together, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to pressure wash homes, paint columns, repair and refresh mailbox posts, clear brush, spread pine straw, and complete other beautification projects throughout the neighborhood.

Working alongside our future homeowners, Nissan volunteers spent the day painting the home’s interior and installing fascia.

As a longtime Habitat for Humanity partner, Nissan’s commitment to building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter continues to make a lasting impact. Since partnering with Habitat in 2005, Nissan has contributed nearly $23 million to support team builds, disaster relief efforts, and the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. Nissan employees have also dedicated more than 180,000 volunteer hours, helping build more than 100 homes and supporting communities across the country.
