Machias Elementary PTG Families and staff working together to make school a place where our kids want to be!

The Machias Parent-Teacher Group (PTG) is a group of parents providing support for our school through fundraising and volunteering. The PTG raises money to provide: Family Events, Educational Opportunities, Staff & Classroom Support, New Technology, School Improvements, and Fun Stuff.

Welcome back from break!

A few overdue updates & a few reminders!

Our Baskets for Bobcats fundraiser raised $7,141.71!!! That's amazing- thank you all!!

We had a December staff breakfast during the snowy week. Please see the attached pictures.

We also had a refresh for our stock the teachers quarterly drop off!

Next Wednesday is our next PTG meeting. I've attached the agenda, which will include planning for BINGO!!

The art contest pictures are due next Friday!

Missoula children's theater is next week, and we'll have concessions. Look for a sign up genius to help support that.

We're in our final 2 days of the Baskets for Bobcats fundraiser and have raised $7,200 to our overall goal of $10,000!

Our fundraisers support STEAM grants for staff, put on fun events (like Donuts with Dear Ones), and provide extra resources for staff & students.

Our Baskets are $2 per raffle ticket and the raffle will be held Monday, Nov 18th.

Our Baksets for Bobcats fundraiser is still going strong! We're in the last week and have raised $6,800 as of 8AM today! Our goal is $10,000 to support our school through a few ways including STEAM grants, host events (ex. Donuts with Dear Ones) and even our yearly scholarship!

A few updates tonight!

Tomorrow is the first day of our Donuts for Dear Ones event and we need more help! We have a start time of 7am to help set up and we should be all cleaned up and done by about 8:30am. If you can help in any capacity Wednesday, Thursday or Friday we would appreciate it! We currently have less than HALF the volunteers we need, so the lines will be much longer than normal without additional support.

Hello all! This week we're hosting Donuts with Dear Ones - a free & fun time to have a donut with a special someone. This can be a parent, older sibling, grandparent, aunt or uncle, family friend, etc.

Wednesday - Friday morning this week from 7:45-8:15, you can bring your kiddo, grab a donut and hang out for a bit in the Commons at Machias Elementary. The Baskets for Bobcats fundraiser items will also be available to view at the same time. Hope to see you there!

The school sent out a note this weekend asking families to not stop in the drop off line until 8:20 so those who are participating can get out and keep the flow of traffic going. They also mentioned there won't be any tardies these days.

THANK YOU to all 39 of our volunteers so far this year! We decided to try something a little different this school year to help our staff throughout the year. We are hosting "stock the teachers" a few times a year, which is intended to give the staff some extra supplies - whether it's snacks or tissues or glue sticks or zip loc bags or something else!
Our Nov 1st event asked for some warm drink mixes, expo markers, painters tape and a few other things.

We appreciate all our families who donated to this drop off event!

Donations from our fundraisers help support events we have, including the Fall Ball, bingo & Donuts with Dear Ones. The funds also support grants for the school, including new library books and music instruments, and STEAM grants.

Our Baskets for Bobcats fundraiser is over halfway to our goal of $10,000! There's a little more than a week left, and our raffle will be on Monday, November 18th.

Hi all! The last few weeks in October were a very full time with lots of volunteer opportunities! Thank you to everyone who helped support the Book Fair, Conference dinner, popcorn day, Stock the Teachers and Fall Ball! It has been quite a big ask lately for time, drop off donations and financial donations. We do not have successful events, fundraisers and activities without our wonderful volunteers.

We have over 600 students, over 400 families and support quite a few staff at our Machias Elementary community. All our events are volunteer planned, and volunteer run from people here in our community.

Fall Ball is TONIGHT! We have some great things you can do!

Dance in your costume
Eat something from our concessions stand
Take fun pictures in the photo booth
Purchase raffle tickets or puruse the Baskets for Bobcats fundraiser
Drop off a donation for the Backpacks for Bobcats group at our school
Get your face painted
Dance some more!

This is a fun family event and we hope to see you there!

Hello friends and families!!

We are at the end of October and that means FALL BALL!!!! We are in need of more volunteers to help hang out during the event! This one is nice and easy and if you plan on being there already it's so easy to just hang with some other adults and hand out pizza and concessions! Please look through the sign up and see if you can spare an hour or two!

Whoa!! As of 5PM Sunday, Oct 27th, we have made $3,000 on our Baskets for Bobcats fundraiser!! That's a big jump in a couple days!

We added a button this weekend that is a "donation only". We know our community may have some far away family & friends who want to support, but may not want the baskets themselves. This is another option and is up front.
