When planning a military reunion, one of the most valuable first steps in the planning process is reaching out to the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) in the destination you’re considering. Whether you’re organizing a Navy ship reunion, an Army unit gathering, or an all-branch event, CVBs can be powerful—often free— local partners in the planning of an upcoming reunion.

Honoring the fallen is about more than a date on the calendar; it is about the living legacy of those who served beside us. This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their last full measure of devotion.

For many veterans, this day carries the weight of names, faces, and shared moments that time cannot erase. It is a day to reflect on the true cost of freedom and the profound bonds forged in service.

We encourage you to take a moment today to share a story or a name. How are you honoring your brothers and sisters in arms this year?

Rooted in connection. Grounded in mission.

Memorial Day weekend is a sacred pause in our national life—a time to remember that the freedoms we enjoy daily were bought at a price we must never forget. We honor our fallen service members not just with words, but by holding ourselves accountable to the ideals they died protecting.

And the truest way to honor those who gave their lives for our country is to live lives worthy of their sacrifice. Memorial Day weekend isn't just about looking back at history; it’s about carrying their legacy forward by building a nation that reflects their courage and selflessness.
