Life jacket loaner stations are now open at Martha Lake County Park and Lake Ballinger Waterfront Park. These self-serve stations are stocked with free life jackets in youth and adult sizes, available to borrow during your park visit.

Even strong swimmers can be affected by cold water beneath the surface, and drowning can happen in seconds. Supervise children around water at all times.

Safe Kids Snohomish County, in partnership with Snohomish County Parks & Recreation and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office , hosts life jacket loaner cabinets throughout the county.

The Snohomish County Council recognizes May 25, 2026 as Memorial Day in Snohomish County, and we extend their profound gratitude to the many United States military personnel who have died while serving on active duty in our nation’s armed forces.

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

The Snohomish County Council recognizes May 25, 2026 as Memorial Day in Snohomish County, and we extend their profound gratitude to the many United States military personnel who have died while serving on active duty in our nation’s armed forces.

Snohomish County is home to approximately 45,680 military veterans, and Naval Station Everett—one of the United States military’s strategic West Coast ports—has been integral to our county’s culture, character, and economy for over 30 years.

Naval Station Everett provides thousands of funeral honors throughout the year, including the folding and presentation of the American flag and the playing of “Taps,” reflecting the deep commitment of our active-duty service members and community to remember those who sacrificed everything in defense of our freedoms.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Wednesday when we passed Resolution 26-026 recognizing Memorial Day in Snohomish County!
