Following the Second World War, when the Federal Government made commodities available for distribution The “Snohomish Welfare Service” quickly assumed the “food bank” task and carried it on until 1982. Then, under the sponsorship of the Assembly of God Church, the “Blackman’s Lake Food Reserve” was established in a building owned by the parish and operated there until 1985. The Blackman’s Lake Food Reserve was closed for two months, and was formally reorganized into The Snohomish Community Food Bank with concerned community leaders as an executive board to oversee all aspects of its operation. The Snohomish Community Food Bank officially reopened at Stocker’s Produce Market adjacent to Harvey Airfield in October 1985 until August of 1986 when the facility moved to a facility on Airport Way owned by the Harvey family. As needs of the community continued to grow, in October 1989 the Mayor and City Council agreed to donate property located North of Ferguson Park and East of the Headquarters Fire Station on a long term lease for a new Food Bank facility to be built. The plan called for the site to be jointly owned by the City and the Fire District, and the building constructed to be owned by the Food Bank. Volunteers’ dedication and service are the foundation of our successful past and our rewarding future. Will you share your special talent or time with us? How often or how much time you have to contribute is entirely up to you. Due to the on going generosity of the community we serve, we are very proud that we are financially sound. We gladly accept donations of food and cash. At this time we are unable to accept clothing, appliances or furniture at our facility

Happy WEDNESDAY! 🙊 on a Monday that is! 🙈

Today’s wishlist Wednesday ask is a few days ahead of time, but our need is significant, especially since we have service tomorrow.

Our cooler is down on frozen protein, chicken, beef, fish, anything that is a frozen protein! The ask for this week is for this ❤️ We serve about 500 families weekly and this is a staple to our families.

Join us tomorrow afternoon for our last Trucks and Tunes! We can’t wait to see you there!!

It's our last Trucks-n-Tunes event AND the last night of the 2026 season for Riverview Road Cidery. Saturday, Oct 24th, from 5- 8 p.m. Come out to drink one last sip of c***r till June, support the Snohomish Food Bank, dress up in your Halloween costume, eat treats from Trios Truck, and dance with Nobody's Peach! Maybe Nick will bring out the Figgy Pudding.....?!

Tomorrow night is our very first haunted fire station!!

Admission is FREE! The Snohomish Food Bank will be on site collecting donations, and we encourage guests to bring a donation to the food bank as their suggested “entry fee.”

Come by, have some fun, get a little scared, and help support our community at the same time!

THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING BACK TO SNOHOMISH!

It’s almost time to get your best undead self together for the Snohomish Zombie Walk 2026!

We’re getting ready to take over First Street at 5:30 PM, and we want YOU there! Come dressed as your best zombie, bring a donation for the Snohomish Food Bank, and get ready to lurch your way through town with us.

No time? No costume! We will have booths to help get you zombified at the Snohomish Farmers Market!!

Think you’ve got the best zombie look?
Come enter the Zombie Contest and show us what you’ve got!

Then after we’ve terrorized First Street, stick around for the after-party Haywire Brewing Co. from 6-8:30!

Come hungry… for fun.
Leave full… of brains.
Okay.....maybe not!
