Today Snohomish PD units responded to a collision at the Snohomish Coffee Company, for a vehicle that collided into the building. Nobody was hurt in the collision. This appears to be an accident and drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.

UPDATE: Deputies were able to utilize Flock cameras to locate the suspect vehicle. The suspected driver was later contacted by Deputies. Charges will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.

The pictured on vehicle is the suspect vehicle in a hit and run collision with injuries that occurred on 4/18 on 2nd Street. The vehicle appears to be a Cadillac, but the victim was unable to get the license plate number. If you know the identity of the vehicle please contact the Snohomish Police Department.

MISSING: 52-year-old Jason Buddie was last seen on Thursday 4/9/26 at his home in 200 block of 10th St, Snohomish. He left his residence on foot and was wearing a beige/grey/brown knit sweater and burgundy pants. He left his cell phone, wallet, keys and all other personal belongings at home. Anyone with information on Jason’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 and reference case #26-2939.

At approximately 10:40 today, Deputies were dispatched to the report of a suspicious bag located on the campus of Snohomish High School. Out of caution, an announcement was made and the area was evacuated. Deputies arrived were able to determine that the bag belonged to a student and did not pose any danger. There is no outstanding threat.

Snohomish PD and Snohomish Fire responded to a distress call for a person who had driven around the road closed signs and was stuck in the water. The individual was rescued and taken for medical evaluation, however charges will be referred for driving around the signs. This is a reminder to everyone, please obey all road closed signs for your own safety.

🚧 Riverfront Trail Temporary Closure Notice 🚧

The Riverfront Trail along First Street is currently closed from Avenue D to Cady Landing due to minor flooding. The trail will remain closed through the weekend and is expected to reopen Monday after Public Works staff have a chance to inspect the area.

Even with only minor flooding forecasted, please remember:
🌧️ Avoid flooded areas — even shallow water can be hazardous.
🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️ Do not walk, bike, or drive through standing water — just a few inches can be unpredictable.
➡️ Use alternate routes — follow posted signs and respect trail closures.

The US National Weather Service Seattle has issued a series of alerts in recent hours, warning of more flooding Friday along Snohomish County rivers.

NEW: A flood warning is now in place for the Stillaguamish River. Heavy rain in the Cascade Range was expected to push the river above flood stage this morning, starting along the South Fork. Minor flooding was forecast.

A flood warning is again in effect for the Snohomish River near Monroe. Heavy rain in the mountains was forecast to push the river into major flood stage around noon. Moderate flooding was reported underway downstream at Snohomish.

Minor to moderate flooding was reported again along the Skykomish River, with high water expected through the weekend.

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED

The Snohomish Police Department is requesting the assistance from the public for an ongoing investigation. We have received numerous reports of slashed tires and other forms of vandalism that occurred in the early morning hours of 02-23-26, in the neighborhoods between Avenue A and Ave D, between 2nd Street and 10th Street. If you have any sort of security camera system, please check it between the hours of 3:00am and 6:30am and see if it recorded any suspicious behavior. If your camera captured anything that you believe could be related, please contact us and a Deputy will collect the footage from you. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.
