The Snohomish Unit was incorporated in Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue August 22nd of 1967 along with the Marysville Unit, Alderwood Unit, Darrington Unit and Everett Mountain Rescue. Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue (SCVSAR) is a self funded all-volunteer non-profit organization comprised of about 300 members from all around Snohomish County. SCVSAR is ready to respond to
any emergency 24 hours a day/365 days a year. Our skills include Helicopter Response Team, K9 Team, Man Tracking, Swift Water Rescue, High & Low Angle Rigging, Operations Support Unit, Bicycle Team, 4x4 Team, 1st Aid/CPR, and many others. Training is available to all SCVSAR members. Taylor's Landing is the base of operations for SCVSAR. It is located at 5506 Machias Road Snohomish, WA. 98270. Missions include: lost hikers, children, hunters, climbers, Alzheimer’s victims, missing aircraft, river and lake rescues, and assisting other agencies throughout Snohomish County.
