Mount Si High School Stadium Etiquette

For any event at Mount Si High School, including football games, middle school students must be accompanied by an adult who remains on campus for the duration of the event. Drop-offs are not allowed, and adults are expected to actively supervise the students they bring.

At football games, designated bleachers are reserved for middle school students. Students should remain in these bleachers and use the concession area only when purchasing food or beverages.

SVSD school expectations for behavior apply at all athletic events. Students represent their schools and are expected to demonstrate respect, responsibility, and good sportsmanship at all times. If a concern arises, students should immediately seek out an administrator or adult supervisor.

A middle school administrator will be present at all Mount Si home football games to help support students and ensure a safe, positive experience for everyone.

SMS students and staff showed off their Apple Cup picks today! 🏈

There was plenty of school spirit on display, with some strong opinions about who will take home the win. And, of course, a few Zags may have snuck into the mix as well! 👀🏀

No matter who you’re cheering for, we’re loving the excitement and friendly rivalry. Let the Apple Cup fun begin!

On Thursday, our sixth graders received their laptops, carrying cases, chargers, and styluses during science class. To help students take care of their devices, we recommend:

• Using the carrying case to safely bring laptops to and from class
• Charging laptops each evening so they are ready for use each morning
• Keeping the stylus in a secure spot, as these are often misplaced and costly to replace

Our newest Eagles soared into middle school bright and early this morning!

Our sixth graders kicked off their first day with an orientation led by WEB leaders, who gave them a school tour, showed them their lockers, and did some team-building. They then spent the rest of the day getting the full middle school experience, rotating through all six of their classes!

A huge thank you to our amazing community greeters who arrived bright and early to welcome our 6th graders. Your warm smiles, encouragement, and enthusiasm helped make their first morning at SMS extra special.

SMS was excited to welcome our new and returning Eagles to Open House last night!

Students walked through their class schedules, tested out their locker combinations, enjoyed popsicles with the PTA, and had the chance to meet teachers and staff.

We’re so excited to kick off another great school year with our Eagles!

Come to the SMS Open House this Thursday to meet the principals and to find your classes and practice your locker combination!

Class schedules and locker assignments will be released on August 20 at noon via Family Access/Skyward (https://trst.in/COKYOG). Please have the district's RSVP process completed first so you can print or screenshot your student's class schedule.

Walk your class schedule (bring your schedule — print or screenshot).
Practice opening your locker (sixth- and seventh-graders) — bring your locker # and combo found under the Student Info tab.

What time is the Open House? Parking is limited, so please consider carpooling or parking at MSHS and walking over.

Sixth Grade: 5:00-5:30 p.m.
Seventh Grade: 5:30-6:00 p.m.
Eighth Grade: 6:00-6:30 p.m.

These are suggested times so each grade has adequate time to find their classes and locker. If your schedule is busy or you have multiple students, please come during whatever time slot is most convenient. Out of town on Thursday? You are welcome to come to SMS after hours and walk your student's schedule in the evening or on the weekend. (Most classrooms open to the outside, and students change classes outdoors.)

Also happening at the Open House:
- Meet your teachers, principals, coaches and counselors.
- Drop off medication with our nurse (required forms).
- Drop off proof of Tdap (seventh grade only).
- Class schedule changes or questions? Fill out our schedule change request form. (https://forms.gle/NczVqK5UxKSHoKUBA)
- Join the SMS PTA.
