Around 12:55 pm the Greene County Sheriff's Office responded to the Hookerton area, after receiving a report that someone possibly matched the description of the wanted suspect from Craven County. The individual was seen in and around the Family Dollar and as a precaution, Mt. Calvary Christian Academy was asked to not have children on the playground until the Sheriff's Office was able to determine whether the individual was the wanted subject. Investigators were able to quickly get video surveillance from multiple cameras in the area and determine that the individual seen was not the suspect. Sheriff Sasser confirmed with Sheriff Hughes that the individual on the camera was not the subject wanted from his County. No crime was committed at the Family Dollar and Mt. Calvary was notified to resume normal activities prior to school releasing.
